Our extensive capabilities allow us to handle any geoscience challenge - from geotechnical engineering to environmental studies to construction monitoring. A well-known geotechnical leader, VGS has a proven record of quality, expertise, and service. It's the reason so many clients depend on us throughout Virginia and the surrounding states. In June 2006, VGS merged with S&ME, Inc., a Raleigh, North Carolina-based company. S&ME, established in 1973, employs 750 professionals and support staff in 22 offices in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.
