We are a group of artists, designers and craftspeople, living in the wine country of Sonoma County, California. We create fine decorative accessories for connoisseurs and collectors. Raku is an ancient Japanese firing technique that is the core of our creativity. Vessels and sculpture are pulled from the kiln at 2000 degrees and plunged into a smoke chamber which transforms their glazes in dramatic ways. A unique palette of colors and a range of smoke and crackle patterns characterize this exotic ceramic firing process. Glass blowing is another highly skilled craft practiced at Evans Design. An immense amount of hand work goes into each piece of glass, which insure originality and uniqueness. Originally a ceramics company, we now slump and fuse glass, blow glass, weld, form and patina metals and continue our traditional production of raku and other unique kinds of ceramic ware. This signature is our guarantee of quality, integrity and original design.
