River Valley Wine Cellars utilizes a custom designed inventory management system. Each item brought into the facility is assigned a unique identifying bar code number that will contain all information about owner, type of wine, vintage and vineyard. Racks are also uniquely identified to ensure proper location coding. Through a secure extra-net function, customers will have the ability to access information about their wine stored and visually locate all stored inventory within the facility. At the request of the customer, River Valley Wine Cellars will conduct a physical inspection of the contents of each case brought into the facility to certify its contents against the stated manifest and alert the client regarding any discrepancies. The import and export of wine requires a certain expertise navigating the customs clearing process. Given their shipping and logistics management backgrounds, the owners of River Valley Wine Cellars have significant experience in international shipping and customs brokerage. We can offer our clients this expertise to help clear shipments into the United States, and coordinate shipments out of the United States.
