Info

Anvik Corporation is an emerging growth company engaged in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced optical systems and equipment for diverse microelectronics, optoelectronics, microsystems, and biotechnology applications. Systems currently offered include large-area lithography, via-generation, and materials-processing systems for high-throughput production of flat-panel displays, multilayer circuits, optoelectronic systems, printed circuit boards, microsystems, flexible circuits, and biomolecular arrays. The Company's mission is to become a leading commercial supplier of such machines. The RTS Division of Anvik Corporation offers quick-turn-around, cost-effective solutions to a variety of research and technical problems in diverse application areas, including microelectronic process technologies, optical and electronic materials, and optomechanical systems and components. Anvik's manufacturing equipment business is based on several significant breakthroughs the Company has made in optical systems, lithography, and microelectronics process technologies. These innovations have enabled Anvik's production equipment to achieve the high throughput levels and low cost-of-ownership demanded by the microelectronics, optoelectronics, and microsystems industries. The Company's intellectual property is protected by a large, diverse, and rapidly growing patent portfolio that currently comprises 67 patents, of which 59 have been issued and allowed, and 8 are pending. The above leading-edge technologies have been developed by Anvik into commercial microelectronics and optoelectronics manufacturing systems following research and development carried out under contracts awarded by several agencies of the U.S. Government, including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Army, the Air Force, Missile Defense Agency, NASA, National Institutes of Health, and National Science Foundation. In addition, end users of Anvik's machines include several high-technology companies with whom the Company has established highly beneficial collaborations. Some of these users, such as a Fortune 100 company and Acreo-Sweden, employ Anvik's lithography systems for manufacturing of diverse communication, opto-electronic, and microelectronic products. The Company has also established collaborations with some university microelectronics research centers and National Laboratories such as University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Sandia National Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy; these help to provide test and prototyping sites for Anvik systems for their use in manufacturing by industrial customers. Building upon these successes, Anvik's revenues are projected to grow at a robust rate for the next several years. Anvik Corporation boasts an excellent team of engineers and scientists, whose key members combine proven expertise and long experience in diverse high-technology fields, including microlithography system development and engineering. Anvik's founder and president, Dr. Kanti Jain, brings to the Company over 30 years of experience in lithography systems, optics, and microelectronics manufacturing, including several years of technical and management responsibilities at IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and Raychem. In addition to the breakthrough advances made at Anvik, Dr. Jain is well known for his invention and development of excimer laser lithography in the early 1980s. With Anvik's rapidly expanding product development and manufacturing activities, the Company is continuously looking to add more professionals to its team. The Company is located in an industrial park in central Westchester County, New York, home to numerous high-technology, pharmaceutical, financial, and other business establishments. Anvik occupies a modern, 12,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and technical facility, with well-equipped laboratories for system development activities involving optics, electronics, and microelectronic processing, as well as powerful software design tools for optical engineering.
