MAI is an award winning design firm, having previously won a national design competition sponsored by the Boston Redevelopment Authority for the 100,000 square foot Chinatown Community Services Center in Boston. We promote a service oriented business mandate to ensure the functional and economic success of our projects. We pride ourselves on providing our clients the highest level of service, with the principal offering a 'hands-on' approach throughout the entire project. Brent A. Maugel, A.I.A. has been practicing architecture in the Boston area for the past thirty years and has worked in such renowned firms as, Earl Flansburg and Associates, Anderson, Knotter and Feingold, Steffian Bradley Associates and Wallace Floyd Associates, where he served as Project Manager, Designer, and Associate. His experiences through the years have included extensive urban design projects, including major residential towers, Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA), subway and commuter rail facilities, and most recently the new headquarters for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA). In 1991 Mr. Maugel joined Paul J. Donnelly to form Donnelly Maugel Architects, with offices located at Park Square, and Newbury Street in Boston. Work during their partnership included: residential communities, retail complexes, and suburban office parks. In 1993, Mr. Donnelly took a teaching position at Washington University and Mr. Maugel formed Maugel Architects, Inc. located in Concord, Massachusetts.
