Hampton High School (HHS) is located in the heart of the city and is the first of four existing high schools built in Hampton, VA. Hampton is an urban high school with student enrollment over 1600 in grades 9-12. As a comprehensive high school, Hampton offers a variety of instructional programs designed to meet the diverse curricular and co-curricular needs of all learners. Some of the exceptional programs offered at Hampton High include but are not limited to: Honors and Advanced Placement, Special Education, Gifted Education, Career and Technical Education, Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), General Academics, Project Lead the Way (PLTW), and Hampton High School is an authorized International Baccalaureate World School. Additional special programs available to HHS students are the Governor’s School for Science and Technology and the Governor’s Academy for Innovation, Technology, and Engineering.
