Individual, couples, adolescents, marriage and premarital counseling. Counseling is a joint effort, which cannot be successful without your hard work, energy and courage. Therapy provides a safe place to explore reactions, thoughts, and feelings about people in your life as well as yourself. It allows you the opportunity to practice new ways of interacting and, when ready, to try these in other relationships. I believe that each individual has a unique view of the world, based on his/her role in it. Just as you have the right to decline or accept any suggestion or therapeutic approach, you also have the right to be informed of any potential risks. I am a Christian based counselor and incorporate this into a solution focused approach. The focus is on what the client wants to achieve through therapy. The approach does not focus on the past and stay there, but instead, takes the focuses to the present and future. As a therapist I use respectful curiosity to invite the client to envision her/his preferred future. I believe that people are designed for self healing and that sometimes they need help to start this process. I also incorporate other therapies to tailor the therapeutic experience to the individual and their specific concerns. I welcome your questions or comments about our work together.
