Established in 1961, Roy Metal Finishing has grown steadily to a company with over 100 people, working three shifts, five days a week. Roy Metal Finishing is the largest electroplater in the Southeast providing barrel and rack zinc and zinc alloy plating. In addition to zinc and zinc alloys, Roy Metal Finishing offers heavy zinc phosphating, passivation, water soluble dipspin coatings, sorting and boxing. With the majority of our business in the automotive industry, we understand the need for high standards on plating quality, detailed performance documentation and flexible logistics to meet the needs of domestic and international automotive suppliers. In addition to serving the automotive industry, Roy Metal Finishing also serves the industrial and consumer products industries as well. As of 2007, our sales were divided into the following industries: Automotive (75%), Consumer Goods (10%), Industrial Goods (15%). Over the past 5 years RMF has focused on automating processes and chemical controls and introducing the latest in trivalent passivate and sealer/topcoat technology. Most of the passivate and sealers are clear and black. However, we also offer yellow, red and green dyes that are made with trivalent passivates. Our key markets will continue to include the automotive industry but we will also begin focusing on the growing aerospace industry in the southeast US. We will be audited to the NADCAP, the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors program. Our 2008 focus will be on improved zinc nickel alloy plating technology, better automation for the application of trivalent passivates and expanding our business in water soluible dipspin coatings.
