The current owners' grandfather founded Texas Plywood and Lumber Company, Inc. in 1953. The company began by supplying plywood and hardwood lumber to area builders. In 1987 a door pre-hanging shop was added and we began supplying everything that a builder needs in doors and trim for houses that range from starter homes to one-of-a-kind custom homes. Geoff Yates, President, believes that our goal is "Provide the customer with what they want, when they want it, where they want it." This simple philosophy has allowed the company to expand to two locations with a combined 195,000 square feet of assembly and warehouse space and a group of 130 individuals who are actively involved in servicing our customers. Texas Plywood and Lumber Company, Inc. is one of the most innovative and technologically advanced millwork suppliers in the country. We offer our customers EDI and Internet Exchange capabilities for purchasing and invoicing and have the ability to link with our customers in many ways. All of our customers' files are scanned and electronically stored for instantaneous access, as opposed to old-fashioned paper files. Texas Plywood is the only millwork company in DFW and Central Texas to offer a standard three day lead time on all house packages or exterior doors, and we offer any product we supply installed. We believe that the more efficient we are, the better we can serve our customers by offering them services and assistance that they find valuable.
