Agapito Associates, Inc. (AAI) provides consulting services in geo-engineering, mining engineering, and related disciplines. Founded in 1978 to meet the needs of the mineral and energy industries, the firm operates out of offices in Grand Junction, Colorado; Golden, Colorado; and Lombard, Illinois. AAI has an immediate opening for an Engineer in their Golden, Colorado office. Responsibilities of the position are (1) to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications; (2) to conceptualize and create preliminary draft engineering illustrations; and (3) to assist senior personnel on a variety of field assignments, including core logging, mine ventilation surveys, rock mechanics instrumentation, exploration drilling, etc. Must be willing to occasionally travel and work in the field, including underground. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Mining or Geological Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years related experience. Desirable skills include working knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, and engineering software. Excellent communications skills and teamwork are essential.
