Graham Magnetics provides a Labeling and Initialization service for all tape media (3480, 3490e, 3590, etc.). We provide you with a "ready to go" tape for a fraction of the cost in mainframe time. We offer a large selection of labels, and initialize large or small volumes of tapes with the volume ID and serial number in the header. Graham will also provide labeling services for DLT, LTO and other mid range tape formats. We handle IBM labeled types but also many others; and, if you have old, unknown formats we can probably write a routine to duplicate it also in a very short period of time.
