The BTAPC provides a place for our talented locals to develop and exhibit their abilities as well as get exposure to world class artists. We at the BTAPC want to identify, develop and foster local talent as well as add to their cultural life. Many students have gone on to work professionally or have received scholarships to further their studies elsewhere. Classes are held at the Ballet and Theatre Arts School in Gilbertown, at Butler Elementary School (a public school) in Choctaw County and at the Patrician Academy (a private school) in Butler, Alabama. BTAPC's teaching staff travels to these places where the facility is made available for them to teach. The teaching staff consists of Fred Kimbrough- Director, Svetlana Vasily Kimbrough - Artistic Director, and Mrs. Courtney McPhearson a graduate of BTAS and the University of Alabama with a degree in dance. We offer classes in classical ballet, ballet & gymnastics, company class, jazz, tap, voice and acting.
