DPI is the nonprofit trade association working for the continued progress of the broiler chicken industry in Delaware, the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and the Eastern Shore of Virginia. In existence since 1948, DPI's members include nearly 1,400 farm families raising chickens, four poultry companies producing birds on Delmarva, and hundreds of poultry company employees, allied industry suppliers of products and services, and Delmarva-based, non-poultry businesses that recognize the important work DPI does to keep the local poultry industry strong. DPI's annual membership campaign gives businesses and individuals the opportunity to become involved in America's leading state poultry trade association. Most business members make a minimum Fund Drive dues payment of $150, with many going much higher. For each $150 dues payment, one ticket will be provided for the April 17, 2008 Delmarva Poultry Booster Banquet in Salisbury, Maryland. However, a $150 investment is not needed to become a DPI member, though most businesses start at that level. Any investment of $25 or more qualifies eligible persons and businesses for DPI membership. Membership in DPI always has been a good deal.
