Tony's Ice Cream is a family owned restaurant in downtown Gastonia. Built in 1947 by the late Tony Janetta, the yellow brick structure is located at 604 E. Franklin Boulevard. The interior decor is of the 50's era with red booths, stainless steel counters and the original neon clock, reminders of earlier times. Friendly clerks invite patrons to sample the superior quality and taste of our offerings. Old fashioned milkshakes made with whole milk, ice cream and a scoop on top are a crowd favorite. Homemade biscuits and breakfast sandwiches are served beginning at 7:00 am from our old-fashioned menu. Lunch and dinner follow with great made to order sandwiches and hot dogs second to none, with our own "made fresh daily" chili. We produce 24 flavors of ice cream next door in our plant, using only the finest ingredients. Chocolate is a resounding favorite and our signature flavor. Grape ice cream is offered as a tribute to our Italian heritage. Tony's Ice Cream also offers our products to many wholesale customers within a 60 mile radius from Gastonia. A complete list of customers will be provided for your convenience. IN addition we are presently providing pints and half gallons in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and butter pecan to Bi-Lo stores in our area.
