Eastern Building Components Inc. was founded in 1969 as part of a larger corporation, General Wholesale Supply, founded in 1954. The Corporation currently operates two building supply stores, two truss manufacturing operations, one wall panel plant, and a turnkey operation. Eastern Building Components currently employs 165 employees at four main locations: Dunn, N.C. New Bern, N.C. Jacksonville, N.C. and Garner, N.C. We have a fully staffed design department with an on-staff P.E., inside sales support, outside sales support and we deliver our own products on truss designed roll-off trailers. As a member of the Wood Wood Truss Council of America, The Truss Plate Institute and The American Institute of Building Design, Eastern has been an innovator in the development of state of the art manufacturing equipment. Including quick-setup jig tables, computer generated designes and computer generated saws.
