As an acute care facility, our 125-bed, 122,000 square foot hospital is able to meet all but the most complex healthcare needs. We're an important part of the community with an annual payroll of $13.5 million and more than 460 healthcare professionals. Upstate Carolina Medical Center symbolizes its commitment to the Cherokee County community with a logo designed to reflect the proactive thinking that is the hallmark of our healthcare facility. In 2002, the hospital welcomed a new and expanded Emergency Department. Our next building project, currently underway, is the relocation and expansion of Out patient Services.
