"Shalom TV" debuted August 30 with Comcast Cable, a leading national cable system, though Shalom TV is available only on local cable systems in southern Pennsylvania and northern Delaware. Shalom TV offers a total of 50 hours of specially-priced Video On Demand programming. The mainstream Jewish press has barely noticed this development; ironically, most coverage of Shalom TV in the Jewish press concerned the "Daily Show" spoof of the channel.
