Leighton Associates, Inc. (LAI) is an environmental consulting company specializing in indoor air quality, environmental investigations, and mold remediation. Founded in 1992, Leighton Associates serves a wide variety of clients including state and local municipalities, insurance companies, contractors, law firms, retail stores and individuals. Leighton Associates serves clients throughout the United States, with the concentration of its work on the east coast. Air quality testing, consulting, project management and training for mold identification and remediation are provided through our Microbial Division. This division is staffed by Industrial Hygienists and is directed by Robert Leighton, a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional (CIAQP) and Certified Mold Remediation Supervisor (CMRS). Mr. Leighton graduated from The Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene & Public Health with a Masters Degree in Environmental Health, and has been certified by both the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and the Board of Safety Professionals of the Americas since 1982. Mr. Leighton is a member of the American Indoor Air Quality Council, and his experience in air quality evaluations and management spans more than 25 years.
