Dr. Mithal is excited to bring his expertise in kidney stones to Georgia Urology, providing his patients comprehensive surgical, medical, and preventive care for kidney stones with the goals of rendering patients 100% stone-free and decreasing the impact of stone disease on the lives of his patients as much as possible. He incorporates a number of techniques to achieve these goals, including percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), minimally invasive PCNL (MIP or Mini PCNL), renal access on the day of surgery (fluoroscopic-guided, ultrasound-guided, and endoscopic-guided), flexible and rigid ureteroscopy, metabolic evaluation and medical management for stone prevention, as well as endoscopic management of upper tract stricture disease.
