CICAT Networks is a privately held, Virginia-based company founded in 1989. Starting in 1991 the company began focusing on selling telecommunication services including voice and data products. CICAT also offered WAN consulting, network integration, web and email hosting along with other value added products. During its history, CICAT has provisioned over 100,000 circuits making it one of the leading experts in the area of telecom services. Customers have ranged from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies, ISPs, telecom carriers, and managed service providers. CICAT has achieved numerous "firsts" during its history such as creating software to automate the provisioning and tracking of service installs across multiple providers. In 1998, it launched the first web-portal for qualification, pricing and ordering of Broadband services. CICAT was the first company in the early 1990's to provide expertise and ordering capabilities for ISDN service nationwide. It continued this trend in 1997 with DSL services and now today with cable internet and fixed wireless services. CICAT currently focuses on providing wide area network consulting and nationwide access solutions to include voice, data and IP services with a specialty in deploying large networks and teleworker services.
