In 2007 Arrowhead Global Solutions was purchased by and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Caprock Communications, Inc. headquartered in Houston, Texas. Established in 1991 as Arrowhead Space and Telecommunications, Inc., the company's name was officially changed in 2002 to Arrowhead Global Solutions, Inc., to better reflect the diversity of Arrowhead's products and services. Mary Ann Elliott, the company's founder, chose the Arrowhead name as a tribute to her Native American heritage. Arrowhead was certified by the Small Business Administration in June 1995 under the SBA 8(a) program. Today, the firm has grown to more than 180 employees and nearly $100 Million in annual revenue. Arrowhead's Founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board, Ms. Mary Ann Elliott, is considered one of the world's leading experts in the fields of satellite communications and global defense. Ms. Elliott is a well-known author, lecturer, and public speaker on the financial viability of future markets for commercial satellite communications. She is an adviser to the Department of Defense (DOD), serving on three boards whose charters include exploiting commercial satellite capacity as a means of augmenting government networks.
