Info
CognitiveArts was launched in 1994 with a vision to create revolutionary learning environments based on the theory and technology developed at Northwestern University's prestigious Institute for the Learning Sciences (ILS). ILS, a world-renowned educational technology research and development laboratory, was founded in 1989 by learning technologist and CognitiveArts' founder, Dr. Roger Schank. As a commercial spin-off, CognitiveArts benefits from over $40 million invested in cognitive research at ILS by major corporate and government sponsors including Accenture, Ameritech, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Defense to name a few. Many members of our development team - designers, project managers, software engineers and media specialists - launched their careers at ILS. Today, they offer nearly two decades of experience and represent the highest achievement in research, education and experience learning design architecture. CognitiveArts has developed over 200 innovative Experience Learning Solutions for major corporations including G.E. Capital, IBM and Wal-Mart. In addition to our corporate clients, we currently collaborate with Harvard Business School Publishing, Columbia University, INSEAD and New York University's School of Law to develop and distribute world-class e-courseware. In February 2003, CognitiveArts was acquired by NIIT Limited and now operates as a division of NIIT Limited - the largest content developer in the world. This acquistion allows both organizations to provide a complete platform of ROI-focused services that cover consulting and development and hard skills and soft skills. In addition, CognitiveArts' customers now have access to solutions that leverage CognitiveArts' Experience Learning Solutions(TM) and NIIT's strengths in scalability and knowledge management.
