Aresa A/S is a Denmark-based company active in the plant biotechnology industry. It focuses on the BioSensor patent-protected technology. The activities connected with the BioSensor technology cover a controlled color change in plants, by use of such products as RedDetect, RedDetect UXO and RedScreen. The technology is based on the plant Arabidopsis thaliana (thale cress). The Company operates through two wholly owned subsidiaries, Aresa Biodetection ApS and Aresa BioPharma ApS. Aresa BioPharma ApS is a dormant company. Aresa A/S was founded in 2001 by Carsten Meier, and has its scientific outset from the Institute of Molecular Biology and Physiology, Copenhagen University, Denmark.
