Dr. Kapuria earned his medical degree at the University College of Medical Sciences at the University of Delhi in India. He came to the United States to complete his residency in internal medicine and anesthesiology at the State University of New York (SUNY) Stony Brook Health Science Center and University Hospital. Dr. Kapuria went on to become a research fellow and instructor in the university's comprehensive pain center.
