The Company was founded in 1965 by Bill and Dee Musselman with an initial product offering consisting of ski accessories and knit hats. In November of 1997 the Company changed its brand name to Ouray Sportswear and over the past 10 years Ouray has established a well recognized and respected brand in the decorated sportswear industry. In 2007, Ouray Sportswear's assets were purchased by a private equity group named Jalex Holdings. With a renewed focus and adequate resources to move the company to the next level, Ouray Sportswear, LLC was born. The new Ouray Sportswear is well capitalized, has new senior management and is firmly committed to the following initiatives:An organization that will continue the honesty and integrity associated with a family-owned company, but with the addition of an underlying philosophy of being "easy to do business with" An organization that is re-engineering almost every business process so we can better and more effectively serve our customers and suppliers A commitment to enhanced quality control protocol A dedication to top notch inventory management practices Going forward, Ouray Sportswear will continue to have the same great product, the same great graphics, but will have a renewed focus on the customer.
