The Company operates its business and markets its services under the AMR and EmCare brands, which represent American Medical Response, Inc. and EmCare Holdings Inc., respectively. AMR is a provider of ambulance services in the United States. EmCare is a provider of outsourced emergency department staffing and related management services in the United States. Approximately 88% of its net revenue, during the year ended December 31, 2007, was generated under contracts. During 2007, EMSC provided emergency medical services to approximately 10.6 million patients in more than 2,000 communities nationwide. It provides ambulance transport services in 37 states and the District of Columbia, and provides services to emergency department and hospitalist programs in 40 states.
