ACG was founded in October 1992. Although ACG has always provided staff augmentation services, originally we also sold various hardware and software systems. In the late 1990s, ACG began focusing exclusively on staff augmentation and consulting services. ACG's founders, Jim Hertzel and Lynn Leader, have decades of experience in the computer industry. Jim's technical career started in the 1960s. For much of his career, he was a manager and executive of technology companies, including Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Data General, IBM and Lockheed. Lynn's technical career started in the 1970s. Her experience includes programming, system analysis/design and project management. Jim and Lynn worked together at DEC and Data General. Upon being laid off from DEC in 1992, they pooled their resources and started ACG. Today, ACG has more than 50 employees and has provided services to more than 500 businesses throughout the U.S. Our success is the result of treating everyone with whom we interact (clients, consultants and employees) with respect, integrity and professionalism.
