Alpine Communications, L.C. is a full-service independent telecommunications company, doing business in Iowa. Alpine is a young company in terms of years of service to our customers, taking possession of the telephone properties in Elgin, Elkader, Garber, Garnavillo, Guttenberg, Marquette and McGregor, Iowa plus surrounding communities, at midnight on April 10, 1997. The organization, however, is made up of consortium of companies and individuals who hold controlling interest in companies that have roots in some of the earliest communications technologies in Iowa and the Midwest. With a strong emphasis on excellent customer service, Alpine Communications currently provides local and long distance service to six exchanges in Northeast Iowa. As a local telephone service provider, we offer our customers a full range of telecommunications services from Caller ID and Voice Mail to Internet, long distance plans and special circuits, plus everything in-between. Alpine Communications also offers cable television service in 7 rural communities in northeast Iowa. The ownership of the cable division is the same. A new retail center, Web hosting, Web design, computer security, and business phone system sales and service are Alpine's other areas of specialization. A state-of-the-art fiber to the home project will be completed in Guttenberg and Elkader by the end of 2008.
