Founded in 1983 Altra Telephone Communications, Inc. is located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The Principals were key members of Centel's and Illinois Bell's engineering staff. Although we are long on experience, we continue to stay current with the ever changing world of telecommunications by attending factory training sessions and seminars. Our technicians have experience on Vodavi, Active Voice, Nitsuko, Comdial, Northern Telecom, Mitel, Siemens, and Southwestern Bell telephone systems since 1984 and Vodavi has been our primary product line since 1989. Although Altra-Tel has experience in a number of brands of equipment, we have found that telephone equipment provided by Vodavi Communications is the most reliable and cost effective. About 95% of our sales are Vodavi. We are a low voltage contractor. Our cabling installations include voice and high speed data cabling ranging into the hundreds of work stations. Our overhead paging systems range from one paging horn to 100 speakers. We also work with new home builders providing voice, data and sound wiring solutions including "Structured Cabling". Our customers receive complete training from trained professionals. New installations include an all inclusive warranty on equpment and labor. It is our policy to become our customer's telecommunications manager offering assistance for years to come.
