Heartland Human Services is a not-for profit mental health and substance abuse health care organization. Through counseling, group interventions, and various wellness programs, we are dedicated to helping those with substance abuse or mental health issues to achieve the best possible support and assistance in attaining and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Heartland Human Services has been providing behavioral healthcare services for over 30 years. Heartland provides a broad array of services including individual, group and family outpatient services in mental health and substance abuse for all ages; marriage and domestic violence counseling; 24 hour crisis intervention; psychological and psychiatric evaluations; inpatient and specific assistance referral services; community consultation and education; Children of Divorcing Parents Program; early intervention services; residential, day treatment, case management and outpatient counseling for chronic mental illness; supported employment; HIV/AIDS services including case management in a 16 county area; and senior outreach services in Clay, Effingham, Fayette, Jefferson and Marion counties.
