Shenandoah Valley School of Therapeutic Massage, LLC provides a holistic, heart-centered approach to the practice of massage therapy. In addition to the mechanics and techniques of competent body work, the massage therapist must be able to create a safe space for the client to heal. This comes from the way the therapist put his/her hands on the client, manipulating tissue so there is more space in the body. It comes from the physical setting that the therapist provides. And, most of all, it is in the way the therapist listens with hands and heart and responds individually, within appropriate boundaries, to the client. Students are trained in technical concepts and skills that prepare students for national certification, and enables them to become professional massage therapists.
