P&O Nedlloyd's latest fleet enhancement includes an order for eight 8,100 teu vessels, which are due to enter service with the Grand Alliance in the Europe-Asia and Transpacific trades during the latter part of 2004. P&O Nedlloyd has continued to develop its E-Commerce capabilities to offer customers a wide choice of channels including system to system (EDI), Internet services (www.ponl.com) and INTTRA (www.inttra.com), the liner shipping industry's first Internet portal. On 11 August 2005, A.P. Møller-Mærsk announced the acquisition of Royal P&O Nedlloyd. The full integration into Mærsk Line is expected to be completed by the end of 2006.
