The Greater Eagle Fire Protection District provides fire, EMS, Haz-Mat, and rescue service for this area, including ice rescue and whitewater rescue. Add in the communications problems in our canyons and remote valleys, lost hunters and backpackers, snowmobile wrecks in the most out of the way places, and all the other things the public can manage to throw at us, and you can see that this area is a real challenge.
