Our commercial site furniture includes litter receptacles, benches, tables & chairs, picnic tables, ash urns, planters, tree guards, seats, bike racks & bollards. Carefully integrated designs and innovative use of materials and technology are hallmarks of our long-term commitment to manufacturing durable, attractive, strong, and comfortable site furniture. To meet the many design challenges we face, we combine tested as well as sometimes revolutionary materials and manufacturing techniques in new and exciting ways. We take time to solve difficult engineering problems. We listen to the invaluable suggestions, requirements, and criticism of talented architects, designers and customers throughout the world. Our manufacturing goal is to provide consistent value throughout each of the quality components we use in our products; in every piece of steel, in every casting, in every piece of recycled plastic, in every piece of hardware, and in every species of wood. Thousands of installations of our products can be found throughout the United States, Canada and in more than twenty other countries. Our brochure is printed in twelve languages. We have earned a worldwide reputation for the manufacture of high quality site furnishings, always at competitive prices. We work with steel, cast ductile iron, numerous species of wood and recycled plastic. With about 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space, our two factories in Maryland utilize the most advanced computerized welding robots, state-of-the-art powder coating systems, and automated metalworking and woodworking equipment. In a very real sense, our company helped to pioneer the use of powder coating. When we began to use the technology in 1970, it was little more than a theoretical system. For thirty years, as the powder coating process developed from the laboratory stage to the factory floor worldwide, we have continued to participate in its development. Today, our factories contain four of the most complex and effective powder coating systems ever built. Technical experts from Fortune 50 companies have visited our factories to observe our powder coating technology and it has been the subject of articles in technical publications. In order to work with designers and architects as well as assist our customers with special projects, we began using computer-aided design when the 286 computer was the fastest machine available. As time and technology move forward, we are keeping pace with the use of virtual reality, CNC machining, and 3-D modeling. Victor Stanley, Inc. has been granted U.S. patents and worldwide patents pending on a remarkable system to reinforce recycled plastic slats; a process that results in a product with superior mechanical properties.
