Info

Telchemy develops technology that enables service providers and major enterprise to deploy and manage Voice over IP, Video over IP, Audio/ Video Streaming and Networked Game services. We believe that future networks need to be self-managing, self-diagnosing and self-healing to support large scale deployment of these QoS-sensitive networked multimedia applications. Emerging distributed network management systems need to monitor application performance from the users' perspective and integrate directly with admission control, route selection and network control systems to support real-time fault and performance management. Telchemy's products provide real time visibility of service quality, estimates of user perceived QoS, and detailed analysis of the root cause of quality degradation for either live calls/ sessions, or for test calls. Our software technology can be integrated by equipment manufacturers into a wide range of products ranging from consumer electronics devices to large telecom systems, monitoring every call and detecting problems in real time. Our OEM products support collection and analysis of real time call quality data, providing easy integration with management systems and other network and call control systems. The Company was founded in 1999, and is based in Duluth, Georgia. Telchemy's Board of Directors includes Alan Clark, Founder and CEO of Telchemy and former CTO of Hayes, Bob Jones, Founder of Equiinet, Sonix, Mayze Systems and Steebek, and Joe Formichelli, formerly VP Worldwide Operations for IBM, CEO of Hayes, Executive Vice President of Toshiba Computer Systems Group. Telchemy's Founder and CEO, Alan Clark, has over 35 years of industry experience, most of which has been within the telecom and networking industries. During the 1970's he worked in the military electronics field, and then returned to college to study data communications and information theory. His PhD work focused on the development of a high performance data compression algorithm (later adopted by ITU as V.42bis) and performance modeling of data communications protocols over channels with time varying impairments. His research work included extensive work in image processing, computer vision, expert systems and network performance analysis.
