RSES markets Reciprocating and Scroll Compressor Test Procedures DVD The Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) is now selling the Reciprocating and Scroll Compressor Test Procedures DVD developed by Prokup Media, Inc., for residential and light commercial systems. This DVD addresses single-phase test procedures, three-phase test procedures, general testing procedures and includes a Tecumseh Products safety section. This DVD features live video footage of actual diagnostic and maintenance procedures. A sampling of the single-phase test procedure topics covered includes checking for an open motor winding/internal overload, compressor electrical components, and capacitor test with Ohm function. Three-phase test procedure topics cover checking for an open motor winding/internal overload and checking motor windings for short to ground. A few general test procedure topics include current relay, potential relay check, valve plate check and mechanical scroll check.
