NetINS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Iowa Network Services, Inc. (INS). INS is a telecommunications firm headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa. INS was formed in 1986 when 128 Independent Telephone Companies (ITCs) joined together to provide centralized equal access services in Iowa. Today, INS owns and operates a fully digital, 2,000-mile fiber optic network throughout the state of Iowa. A centralized switching control center is located in Des Moines. INS and its 147 member companies operate more than 5,000 miles of network facilities and deliver leading-edge technology to both rural and metro customers.
