CCU serves approximately 3,000 students in undergraduate, adult, weekend, re-certification and graduate programs at numerous campus locations. The main campus in Lakewood, Colorado (outside of Denver) serves 800 daytime undergraduate students and nearly 1,200 adult students who take classes on evenings and weekends. The University also operates off-campus centers for adult and graduate students in Colorado Springs, Grand Junction, Morrison, and The Higher Education and Advanced Technology Center in Lowry, Colorado. Graduates of the institution are active in strategic areas around the world, including a wide variety of ministries, education, government service, business, management, computer science, private industry, and the professions. CCU placed considerable emphasis on the institution's future growth when considering the school's software solution. According to Jim Blanchard, Director of Administrative Computing and Database Manager, "The ABT PowerCAMPUS system offered the most mature and comprehensive client/server computing solution (including Web access) to carry CCU into the year 2000 and beyond." Colorado Christian University is the heritage of Rockmont College, Western Bible College, and Colorado Baptist University. Rockmont, founded in 1914, was awarded North Central Association accreditation in 1981. In 1985, Rockmont and Western joined to become Colorado Christian College. In 1989,Colorado Christian College joined Colorado Baptist University to become Colorado Christian University, the region's leading evangelical university. Graduates of the institution are active in strategic areas around the world, including a wide variety of ministries, education, government service, business, management, computer science, and private industry.
