Info
AMC Cancer Research Center "AMC Cancer Research Center is a not-for-profit research institute dedicated to the prevention of cancer and other chronic diseases. In 1904, the Jewish Consumptives Relief Society (JCRS), a sanatorium dedicated to treating tuberculosis, was founded in Denver, Colorado. When tuberculosis was brought under control in the 1950's, the JCRS evolved into AMC Cancer Research Center. In 1989, AMC became the first institution in the country to devote its scientific resources entirely to the prevention of cancer. Today AMC is conducting important cancer research in the areas of causation and prevention, nutrition in the prevention of disease, health communications, behavioral research, and community studies." America's Athletes with Disabilities "Our mission is to promote and sponsor sports, recreation, fitness and leisure events for children and adults with physical disabilities. These events are held every year, across the country, under the banner of the Victory Games. The Victory Games provide children and adults with disabilities crucial and valuable experience in personal growth and achievement."
