Reproductive Genetics Center, P.C. was founded by George P. Henry, M.D. in 1980 as the first private prenatal genetic diagnostic center in the U.S. offering genetic counseling, amniocentesis, and chromosome analysis in one facility. Dr. Henry was the first and is still one of only three physicians nationally to be Board Certified in Ob-Gyn and by the American Board of Medical Genetics in both Clinical Human Genetics and Clinical Cytogenetics. Dr. Henry is the Medical Director of the clinic and the laboratory and, as such, signs off on all laboratory studies. Our genetic counselors are trained at the Masters level and are Board Certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling. The laboratory is supervised by Beverly Christine, MT(ASCP), CLSpCG, who is a Certified Specialist in Cytogentics. The average experience of our laboratory technologists is fourteen years. Since its founding, the center has studied over 50,000 samples. This unique blend of clinical and laboratory expertise offers a broader understanding and experience in the interpretation of studies than is available through strictly reference-type laboratories.
