Our staff is dedicated to preparing you for your travels abroad by providing in-depth counseling based on the individual traveler’s itinerary and medical history. Our board certified infectious disease physicians and nurse practitioner provide the following services in a private office setting: Comprehensive pre-travel health counseling specific to the destination Pre-travel immunizations Federally certified yellow fever vaccine and verification stamp Post-travel health care, should it be necessary Political and safety information, including embassy phone numbers International travelers should schedule a travel consultation as soon as travel plans are finalized because, ideally, travel vaccines should be administered at least 2 to 4 weeks before intended travel. This delay allows the immune system enough time to produce protective antibody levels against the disease. Some immunizations are given in a series and should be started 4 to 5 weeks before the intended departure. A plan can be outlined during your initial consultation. In addition, certain modifications can be made if you have only short notice prior to travel.
