Mid-Tex Cellular, Ltd, is the 850 B Band cellular licensee in the Texas 9B2 Rural Service Area and currently provides cellular service to 15,000 subscribers in Runnels, Coleman, Brown, Mills, Comanche and Erath counties. Mid-Tex began providing analog service in 1990. In 1996, Mid-Tex overlaid its analog network with TDMA technology and has deployed Vanu, Inc. SDR technology as a cost effective solution to deploy 3G. Mid-Tex was established in 1989 and is based in DeLeon, Texas.
