Mid-Tex Cellular, Ltd, is the B Band cellular licensee in the Texas 9B2 Rural Service Area and currently provides cellular service to 15,000 subscribers in Runnels, Coleman, Brown, Mills, Comanche and Erath counties. Mid-Tex began provide analog service in 1990. In 1996, Mid-Tex overlayed its analog network with TDMA technology and is in the process of determining a cost effective solution to deploy 3G technology. Mid-Tex was established in 1989 and is based in DeLeon, Texas.
