A physician is a medical professional who has receive additional training to deal with complex health problems of patients. They are responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of conditions although they are distinct from surgeons. Primary care physicians are responsible for general health care and low-level illness. Pediatricians are specialized doctors who treat children. Obstetricians focus on gynecological problems and pregnancy, while allopathic physicians focus on the muscular skeletal system.
