In the April 2005 "Top 100 Management Companies" survey conducted by Hotel Business magazine, Quorum Hotels and Resorts was ranked 6th when measured by Average Daily Rate, 10th when measured by revenue per available room (RevPAR) and 21st in overall gross annual revenue. The company was founded in 1987 as a joint venture between its senior executives and The Rank Group, plc and was known as Rank Hotels North America until November 1994.
