Founded by CEO, Joel Ray, in 1990, New Benefits, Ltd. is a privately held company with 100+ employees. Located in Dallas, Texas, New Benefits owns and operates Coast to Coast Vision Plan (CTC), NB PBM and UHS Chiropractic networks. Our mission is to be recognized as the premier national wholesaler of meaningful discount programs and technologically advanced turnkey solutions delivering: dazzling service and responsiveness, flexible support and administration, imaginative design and customization and innovative printed materials. Mr. Ray began his career in 1974 with Associated Optical, a manufacturer and distributor of ophthalmic eyeglasses and contact lenses, founded in 1956 by his father, Sylvan Ray. In 1984, Mr. Ray became Chairman and CEO of Associated Optical. In the mid 1980s, optical retailers began putting labs in their stores and advertising "glasses in an hour." With this dramatic improvement in service, Mr. Ray recognized that two to three week turn times through traditional manufacturers, such as Associated Optical, would no longer be acceptable to consumers. This market shift was the catalyst for CTC Vision. Formed in 1989, Mr. Ray created CTC to offer members deep discounts at the point of service through a network of participating retail optical providers. Since its inception, the network has grown to over 12,000 locations including Pearle Vision and LensCrafters, as well as regional chains, surgical centers, and thousands of independents throughout the country. While CTC is the flagship of New Benefits and remains the cornerstone of the business, skyrocketing healthcare costs in the early 1990s created a demand for a broader array of discount, healthcare products. Answering the call, New Benefits was expanded in December of 1993 to provide discounts on prescription drugs, dental care, and hearing aids, in addition to the successful CTC Vision - all on one membership card. With the growing number of clients and internal personnel needed to support the business, Ms. Terry Tullo, President, was hired in 1995 to develop a long-term corporate business plan, manage day to day operations, promote the advantages of noninsured benefits through speaking engagements and make forays into national accounts and key marketing channels. Ms. Tullo's fervor for unparalleled customer service was the driving force behind the creation of Dare to Dazzle in 2002. Over the years, New Benefits has been recognized as the pioneer in the discount health card industry. Since 1993, the portfolio has been enhanced and today is considered the single source solution for discount health and lifestyle benefits, online insurance quoting engine, TPA services and association packages. New Benefits is known for its responsiveness and flexibility to tailor any program to meet client specifications. We take great pride in offering a complete turnkey approach by providing a "one-stop shop" for complete management of benefit programs including: on-site customer service, provider relations, billing, commissions, variable data print on demand membership kits, online registration, web links, monthly activity reports, graphic and design assistance. Many insurance companies, associations, government agencies, TPAs, employers and the general public enjoy the savings gained from using their private label member benefit programs.
