Info

Dockery House Publishing is a privately-owned company, based in Dallas, Texas. Over the last 25 years this company has established a staff of editors, art directors, designers, and a network of professional writers whose expertise covers a broad range of subjects; photography, typography, design and layout of the various publishing projects. In addition, Dockery House offers an experienced national advertising sales staff who work with customers, selling advertising for their individual custom magazines and helping defray the cost of the publications. The company began in 1980 with the founding of Marketing Communications Graphics, offering businesses nationwide competitive printing options with exceptional service. MCG sales quickly rose to more than $40 million annually. With MCG as a springboard, the company's portfolio broadened into the publishing area with such magazines as Wealth Building, Texas Banker, Austin Magazine, Tyler Magazine, as well as in-flight airline magazines for Continental, Hawaiian Air, Frontier, Braniff and New York Air. Dockery House also developed and produced 1.5 million copies of the Evangelist Magazine each month. During this time, Dockery formed C&D International, further broadening the scope of business in the religious and inspirational marketplace. The company's national reputation was built with the publication of Bibles, Christian daily planners and biblically oriented guides for better living, including God's Promises, which became a runaway best seller with more than eight million copies sold. In 1994, C&D International was sold to the Thomas Nelson Company and its subsidiary, Word Publishing. Recognizing the need for new approaches to traditional marketing endeavors, Dockery established the Heritage Imprint Company, offering businesses a unique alternative to expensive advertising venues that are often too scattered to be effective. Heritage specialized in the development of coffee-table books that companies can customize and use as marketing tools in the acquisition of new business, as well as make a favorable impression on current and potential customers. The corporate book line is designed to showcase your company, your products, your services, and your commitment to new and prospective clients. These marketing pieces have been used in successful marketing programs by many of the country's top companies. During the development of a cookbook program for one grocery retailer, Dockery House became aware of a growing need for a target marketing publication program that would allow retailers and its suppliers to join together to deliver their messages to the chain's top shoppers. The solution - Dockery House began publishing Lifestyle Magazine for the eight operating supermarket companies of Ahold U.S.A., the nation's fifth largest grocery retailer. Since then Dockery House Publishing has created a number of other magazines for companies who have realized the benefits of having a publication that tells their story and encourages future business.
