CompX International Inc. (CIX) is a manufacturer of security products, precision ball bearing slides, and ergonomic computer support systems used in the office furniture, transportation, postal, tool storage, appliance and a variety of other industries. CIX is also a manufacturer of stainless steel exhaust systems, gauges, and throttle controls for the performance marine industry. The Company's products are principally designed for use in medium to high-end product applications. Approximately 32% of the Company's total sales during the year ended December 31, 2007, are to the office furniture manufacturing industry. CIX has three operating business segments: Security Products, Furniture Components, and Marine Components. The three business segments operated six manufacturing facilities at December 31, 2007, including one facility in Grayslake, Illinois that houses operations relating to Security Products and Marine Components.(Source: 10-K)
