Info
Autism Spectrum Therapies was created by William Frea, Ph.D., BCBA and Ronit Molko, Ph.D., BCBA with the goal of providing comprehensive and state-of-the-art ABA services for individuals across the autism spectrum. AST bases its treatment on the principles of applied behavioral analysis (ABA). We strongly believe in the use of modern play-based ABA strategies in combination with discrete trial training, as well as the infusion of social-skills goals, positive and functional approaches to challenging behaviors, the use of visual supports, and structured routines. Since each individuals needs are unique, we tailor our goals and methods accordingly. Through one-on-one instruction, as well as parent education and school staff training, AST helps families as they master a wealth of information and manage a broad range of different tasks. Following are some of the common issues we address:Identifying and developing meaningful educational goalsIntegrating educational goals and home programsIncreasing positive behaviors, while reducing challenging onesDeveloping meaningful social skillsBuilding and generalizing functional communicationStrengthening communication between family members AST works closely with numerous school districts, developing individual programs, as well as training teachers, assistants, and school psychologists. We are vendored by regional centers to provide early intervention, positive behavioral supports, after-school programs, social skills training, and broader family supports. AST also works privately with families to assist in developing appropriate goals, reviewing intervention options, and implementing comprehensive programs.
