We are committed to letting Nature to do most of the work. Toward this end, we manage our natural resources so that there's no need for chemical pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, hormones or antibiotics. We have been practicing sustainable agriculture since the early 1980s! In keeping with our earth-friendly philosophy, we have enrolled Mount Air Farm in the Sugar Hollow Agricultural/Forestal District, a volunteer program that limits residential development. Our farm is also under a conservation easement (Virginia Outdoors Foundation), which permanently prohibits the land from being altered for residential/commercial development. Our participation in these programs is part of our commitment toward responsible stewardship of our natural resources.
